PmWikiDevelopment: Install on IIS


General Notes


Peter, I’ve started working on this with IIS 7 and the Url Rewrite 2.0 module.
I’ve gotten clean urls, but have not yet gotten rid of pmwiki.php.
I’ll keep you posted.

I attempted to create a SECOND pmwiki installation on the same server, each on a different “website” - using different ports for access.


However, my two attempts both ended up with permissions errors either creating the wiki.d directory, or accessing the wiki.d\.flock file, if I created the directory manually.


Permissions appear to be the same for each website -- Network Service, full perms granted to directory, etc.

UPDATE: it was a permissions issue.
When Anonymous Authentication set to Application Pool Identity it worked.


I checked this on the working install, but thought it was set to ISUR
