Executor

Life Hacker: Executor Is Impressive, Full-Featured App Launcher

Executor is nice, it is impressive, I use it more often than W-r. It has a lot of bells and whistles I never use -- like skins

Import/Export

C-k (open setup) >> Keywords >> right-click for context-menu
Select either import or export. Ta-dah!

Although I have “auto-backup” turned on, I have no idea where this file is placed (if at all).

  • Auto-backup is under Settings >> Misc

I never use “steal Win-R” command, because Environment Variable changes require an Exectuor restart.
Since that happens so seldom I should just remember to restart Exector...
However, I used to use some weird scripts that change environment variables on a regular basis, so, I’ve never gotten into the Executor habit for that reason...

Environment variables

IMPORTANT NOTE: Executor launches with a copy of environment variables. Every application launched with Executor inherits that copy. If the system-wide environment variables get changed, Executor does not inherit those changes, and apps will be launched without those changes. In other words, it’s a shell. Hopefully, this will save you a weird hour on a Friday afternoon....

copy settings

executor.ini is probably found in %appdata%\Executor
