On 2013.09.13 I attempted to build from the latest source @ http://stw.codeplex.com/SourceControl/latest
Browsing changes in v4 as of commit 942ded0cfdcb, Aug 09, 2013
readme.txt said the following:
However, those tools did not work.
First, I installed the Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio 2010 (October 2012) as instructed/
On launch of the
.sln in Visual Studio I was met with:
Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio 1.4 requires the Windows Azure SDK v1.4
I found and installed it.
HOWEVER, I was then met with
\path\to\stw4\Azure\Azure.ccproj cannot be opened because its project type (.csproj) is not supported by this version of the application.
I believe I updated, but am not sure what I installed.
What I did, I next saw The Windows Azure project was created by a later version of the Windows Azure Tools then the latest one installed. Please install the latest version of these tools.
Installed the latest version (which is 2013.something), re-launch solution: This project is associated with Windows Azure Tools - October 2012 which is not installed. You can either download the tools and reload the project or update the project to target Windows Azure tools - v2.1
Ultimately, I installed the following:
Windows Azure SDK Tools 1.8.1 for Visual Studio 2010 - February 2013
Windows Azure SDK
