I’ve only read “Shriek: an afterward” but I should be reading more.
weirdo new-weird fantasy guy with a thing for mushrooms, squid, and post-modernism. He’s a very interesting writer. His plays-with-the-narrative are not one-off tricks like Brunner-does-DosPassos for “Stand on Zanzibar” or Delaney-vs-Joyce in “Dalghren” (not that I’m knocking Delaney) or Sterling-tries-and-fails-to-comprehend-pomo in “The Sword of Damocles”
His stuff works.
And is good-weird.
